Is two way SLI really worth it?

Glitches? There aren't really any glitches as such anymore, SLI has come on leaps and bounds. Yeah, there are a few games here or there which don't work with SLI, but in my own experience these have only really been games where a second card doesn't even matter or make a difference anyway (indie games, early access games, etc).

Personally I've always found two mid-range cards a better option for pairing up, because then you spend less than the highest tier card while also getting more performance. Honestly I don't see why there aren't more dual GPU solutions about, such as the ROG 760.

This is a relative question, it's worth it to some, and not others. I have been running 2 gtx 660's in sli for about a year and have not had any problems. I run 3 1080P screens in Nvidia surround and love it. And then of course there is the budget, money and worth is so subjective. I have seen videos with people having problems with SLI and Crossfire, I myself have not experienced any of them with SLI. So it's really a personal opinion if it's worth it or not. But, it the question is would I want two 770s over a 780 or 780 ti..no I would not, I would get the 780ti first...then maybe add one later..but I would probably just upgrade again when the time came..so really it's up to you.

But that's just wrong. AMD cards have micro-stutter issues in certain situations, but SLI is much more refined due to implementing a decent multi card solution at the hardware level, rather than fixing it with software.

SLI is really not that problematic these days. It either works or it doesn't, and if it doesn't you just get that feeling the second card isn't really doing anything. But it never feels game breaking.

In General I would only SLI an old set of cards. i.e is it worth paying 500 bucks to update your old mid-range to a brand new one, if you can SLI your old card for 100 bucks today and soldier on for longer on your current setup.

SLI on a 770 would be expensive. But it would future proof your setup for a very long time. I myself opted to SLI my 670's rather than purchase a 770. With the right watercooling and Overclocking it benches way above anything Stock that is out currently, and I saved about 200 at the time as well.

Really I would chalk it down to personal preference and your financial situation.

I know sli has less issues but 2 gpus also run very hot and sli also sometimes has microstuttering with some games.I would get a single gpu.But if you think dual gpus are better than more power to you :) it just depends on usage.if you are gaming at very high resolutions dual gpus are worth it but if you are gaming on 1080p a powerful single card like gtx 780 or r9 290 should do the trick

Not sure by what you mean 2 gpus run very hot. Anything will run really hot without the proper cooling/ventilation. Running two gpus may create more heat just due to having more hardware verse just one GPU, but SLI does not mean the gpus will run very hot just for the sake of having SLI.

I mean that 2 gpus run hotter than one gpu :)

Actually find that my 2x 670's with watercooling run about 20 deg cooler than my single 670 on stock fans ever did :p
