Hey guys first PC build is on going here is what I have (I am waiting to get a GPU for budget reasons but I went ahead and cranked it up):

CPU: i5-4670k
Mobo: ASrock Z87 Extreme4
Ram: 2x4gb Corsair Vengeance
HD: Samsung 840 Evo ssd
PSU: Corsair CX600M
Windows 8.1

Anyways I had no problem getting it started or putting windows on it, and it was running fine until I installed the driver cd (I checked to see if they were the latest versions) and now it is extremely slow and keeps losing network connection, but it still boots very quickly (I also installed AVG and Zonealarm firewall). I have it wired to my internet. The CPU and RAM usage are very low and nothing stands out in task manager (that takes forever to load). Any ideas?

Your build looks like it should be pretty darn fast. Check your startup programs and only load the essential ones. You don't want any background programs running.
Also, AVG is kinda sucky compared to other antiviruses. Get Avast! It's free, and non-invasive. Works awesome.

Thanks, yea a lot of the stuff from the ASrock cd are on at startup along with AVG and Zonealarm. I'm going to uninstall AVG and Zonealarm then clean up the start up, and make sure I have all the up-to-date drivers (though I'm fairly positive I do) and see how it performs then. I've only had it up and running for 2 days...

CPU temp is around 22-25c, I have a Corsair H80i on it now.

Yea I'm not worried about the temp, it's just running so slow and won't stay connected to a network long

Update your bios. There's a chance that your mobo has an old bios that hadn't fixed any bugs yet. I usually do that as soon as I get a motherboard. Reset the CMOS to make sure everything is set to stock settings. That's about all I can think of.
