I have MB ECS G31T-M (V1.0) and Intel processor dual core E5500.
In web on ECS G31T-M (V1.0) this card supports
E5500, http://www.ecs.com.tw/ECSWebSite/Product/Product_Detail... but in life it does not.
When i turn it on i can see all funs ar spinning, but video does not appears.
Bouse of components is new.
Is this not stick together or what? What i need to do. Does need some jumper on Onboard parallel port header?

Are you using integrated video or a discrete card? What is the connection between PC and monitor... VGA, DVI, HDMI?

Do you have the latest BIOS? BIOS dated 10/02/25 is required for that processor according to the link you posted. If removing the discrete card*, and just using the integrated video doesn't work for you... either the MB, the processor, or the monitor would have to be defective.

* you have to remove the discrete card from the PCIe X16 slot on some boards to allow the integrated video to be enabled.

Has this motherboard and processor ever worked for you before? Is this a used one you just bought, or one you've had in service before?

Both of this components are new. From boxes. All of them just stay one on my home and one on my brothers, but brother was in other country like 2-3 years.
At now i get MB and it dont work, or my processor dont work. I need to know, if i buy some component, I need to it works perfectly.

Amazing. Where you live, you can still buy a "new" C2D E5500 and a "new" ECS G31T-M motherboard. They have been obsolete here for years.

At this point, your best bet would be to bread board the system outside the case.

Place the MB on an insulated surface with JUST the CPU/cooler, 1 stick of memory in the 1st slot, PSU connected, keyboard, monitor connected to the MB video. No drives or anything else. Start the system by momentarily shorting the two pins that the power button would connect to. You should get a display and be able to boot to BIOS. You can shut down by simply turning off the PSU.

If no display, try again without the keyboard attached and see if you get a display. Then try using the discrete card. If no success...
I would assume it is either the MB or the CPU that is bad. More likely the MB. I have had a few new MBs over the years I've had to send back to the retailer for replacement. It happens. But so far, I've had no new CPUs that were defective.
