My son and I are building this system together for him.

I have 2 DELL E198WFPF monitors it's going to run also.
The case he allready picked and we bought is: http://www.directron.com/syclon2bk.html

He wanted 3 monitors but after posting here I have decided 2 is fine for him plus I have thoes 2.

I am willing to buy monitors if I need to and I am willing to go higher OR LOWER on the budget if we need to.

yes the maximus ram games use nowadays is 4gb and you can count the games that use 4gb on your fingers like bf4 uses 3gb and heavily modded skyrim will use...

if it is mainly for gaming i would recommend you drop to 8gb as it is plenty and with that saved money grab a gtx 770 instead other then that everything looks great...you can also get the corsair m65 mouse as it is only $20 more and better then the logitech m510

After reading the reviews I think your right on target with the video card recommendation. THANKS, I was really having a hard time deciding on that one.

Do you really think dropping the RAM will make no difference. He is only 14 but I want to system to last at least till he goes off the school. LOL

Thanks

yes the maximus ram games use nowadays is 4gb and you can count the games that use 4gb on your fingers like bf4 uses 3gb and heavily modded skyrim will use 4gb...so 8gb is more then enough for future as well then after couple of years when games start using 6gb or more you can just buy 2 more 4gb sticks and add it to your mobo and you will be good. His system will definitely last until he goes to school and beyond that so you dont have to worry. 16gb ram is mainly used to do video editing/3d modeling and doing heavy multitasking. Believe me for gaming you will not notice a difference between 8gb and 16gb at all.
