Upgrading my CPU/MOBO. I need a 2nd opinion.

I am not looking to spend a crazy amount. I just want to upgrade from my $60 BioStar board and A8 3850 APU.

I have a 600w Corsair PSU, Nvidia 460 GTX GPU, and DDR3 1333 2x4gb Gskill RAM that's already in my system.

The below links are my current choices. I am not looking to blow games out of the water, but I wouldn't mind to play on the occassional "High" GFX from game to game. I think these two new additions should help me remove my CPU bottleneck.

Any advice to whether what I am doing is over kill--or under? Also, this is the best price I could find. Do you know of anything better? And if I don't intend to OC, should I aim for an aftermarket cooler? If so, I was looking at the TX3/4 or 101.

ASUS m5a97 AM3+

FX 6300

That's actually a pretty good combo, and is in no way overkill if you arent a hardcore programmer, and don't have the craziest games to play, then this will indeed remove the cpu bottleneck for you, but don't expect anything over medium in modern games with a 460

Thanks. I felt like this was pretty solid.

As for my GPU. I assume it will be my current/future bottle neck then?
