APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Within a month.
BUDGET RANGE: ~$200-250 (after rebates)

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Gaming. Currently playing Arma 3, Civ V, replaying ME2&3. Also dabbling in some Arkham Asylum/City. Basically I want something that can play pretty much any current game at highish settings.

CURRENT SYSTEM SPECS:
CPU: Intel Core i5-2400
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 6870
MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme3
RAM: Crucial 2x4 GB 1333 MHz
SSD: Crucial M500 240 GB
HDD: WD Caviar Blue 500 GB
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W
Fractal Design R4 Windowed
Windows 8.1 Pro

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg (preferred), Amazon, others
COUNTRY OF ORIGIN: USA

PARTS PREFERENCES: Would prefer something quieter than what I have right now.

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe
SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: Currently 1680x1050 but I would like to upgrade to 1920x1080 or so in the not so distant future.

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
I've thought about crossfiring my 6870 that I have now but I don't believe my PSU will support it. By the time I buy a new PSU and a second card I would be spending ~$250 anyway. I'm thinking it would make more sense to replace the 6870 with a faster single card.

I'm thinking about something in the GTX 760 range (4 tiers higher on the performance list)

Like I said above quiet is good. It would also be nice if it matches the black/white color scheme of my case.

[random aside]Recently joined the ranks of the ssd users. Loving the responsiveness.[/random aside]

Thanks for your thoughts and opinions.

This should be perfect for what you are doing. If you want to stay on the AMD route,
