Hi all i am currently building my first pc and want to eventually have three 1440p monitors. i will play games like crysis 3, skyrim, final fantasy, and metro last light, my question is what graphics card and how many of them? I've narrowed it down to tians or 780ti classified..

cpu: i7 4960x
Motherboard: asus rampage iv black edition
ram: G.Skill Trident X Series 16GB (4 x 8GB) DDR3-2133 Memory
SSD: Samsung 840 Pro Series 512GB 2.5" (x2)
case: corsair 900d
psu: enermax platimax 1500w

At least 3 GPU's. However, to be honest, you would be wasting your money for 3x 1440p when at this resolution the eye barely notices from 3x 1080p.

But if you insist, you should get Titans over 780Ti because the extra memory would benefit substantially for such a monitor setup like yours. Good luck!

Well, a single 780ti or 780 classified should be able to handle Crysis 3 on ultra settings at 1440p at a more than playable FPS. The 780ti is a more powerful card than the Titan, but the reason that people use the Titan is that it has very low heat production compared to the 780ti and it's also more compact. If you're not worried about size or heat too much, then the 780ti/classified is the obvious choice (it's also cheaper).

Buy the 780's for a single monitor.

For three monitors, I would get two Titans like Quarkzquark said, because as the resolutions get higher and higher, the Titan tends to outperform the 780 ti.

ive been looking around a bit more and might wait for the titan black edition, it looks like its pretty much going to be the same as the 780 ti but with 6gb memory. thanks for all the responses :)
