Hi! I recently bought a new system and tried to install windows . During the installation, it asks for some drivers to see the RAID-5 I set up. A first put in the gigabyte drivers CD that came with my motherboard. I noticed that the optical drive wasn't spinning. I the used an external CD drive and the same thing happened. Next, I put the drivers on a USB drive and went to browse for the drive and it wasn't there. Please Help!

Hardware

  • Motherboard Gigabyte F2A88XN-WIFI
    APU AMD A10-5800K
    RAID-5

You normally need to have first extract the raid chipset drivers form the cd and put them on a pen drive, then when your installing WIndows and it asks what drive to install on, click the option to add new drivers and point it to the raid chipset driver files.
