I use an old hp pc running xp3 at work and today it won't boot up.

One of my printers was offline so I tried turning it on and off again etc. then decided to re-boot the pc.

I'd left a camera card in one of the slots so of course it said non-system disk please remove and press any key.

So I did that - then it came up with missing ntdlr - ctrl - alt -del to restart.

So I did that and then the pc would not boot up. Everything switches on ok but no bios screen comes up, the hd doesn't spin up.

I took the drive out and put it in an enclosure and hooked that up to another pc - everything's still there so I can back up and not lose anything.

But whats the solution to get this back up and running?

Don't have any xp disks etc. there's a recovery partition on there.

Thanks for the reply - did actually copy those files to the root of c: when I had the drive out to check it.

There is no beeps when switching on the pc either - maybe it's a mb fault somewhere.
