Hi All,
I purchased the Z87-PRO MB Back in December for a home build which went without too many issues and everything has worked as it should.
However, in the last few days the system clock has failed to keep time and date. Now I've been around a while and usually this means the battery on the MB has died, so I replaced it with a brand new CR2032. This didn't fix it! Anyone any ideas what else it could be?

Gary

MB is Asus Z87-PRO Rev1.02 with intel i5-4670K, 8gb (2X4Gb) Kingston HyperX Predator 2400Mhz Ram, Asus GTX 770 Nvidia GeForce 2Gb, XFX Pro 850W PSU.

Solution
Are you having the computer go out and get time from somewhere on the internet? If your computer is powered on and losing time then you need to send in the motherboard to get fixed. The timing crystal in the MB might be bad.

Hi anhilated,

>Are you having the computer go out and get time from somewhere on the internet?
No, I have never done that, just relied on the internal clock

Hmm, I sure hope not. It took me ages to build this thing I don't fancy having to take it apart to send it for repair. I have messaged Asus support so I am hoping to get an answer soon. I couldn't find anyone else on the forum who had the same problem.so I am hoping it's not a 'one off', but a known fault.

Thanks

If you own an Z87-A motherboard with Time/Date problems,
Try This...
Update for windows 7 x64 Systems (KB2998527)
It totally Solves my TIME reset hiccup.
Maybe windows 7 was the problem! not ASUS!
