just bought a sapphire r7-250 1gb ddr5 and i put on my old system that features an amd phenom ii x2 555. will there be a bottle neck? it runs fine on bf3 with an average 50 fps. im planning on getting an amd apu that has 4 cores. what would be your best suggestion for the cpu and mobo. not looking into intel or the phenom ii x4 or x6 since we dont have it here in the philippines so ill be sticking with an amd apu instead probably an a6 or a8. thanks!

Solution
Yes the Phenom will bottleneck for newer (2013-2014) games (like BF4, AC4, etc.). No you can't "upgrade" to a APU, that is a total different chipset which means different Mobo, and why would you? A APU is made for "low power, low cost, low end" users (not gaming) and are typically best for only games 2009 and older, even with a GPU, EA showed in its own Mantle tests the A10 as the LOWEST end user BF4 could support, and the typical fps is 30fps at that point. So this isn't even a option realisitically.

The current market for PC gaming today and forward is FX-8xxx, i5 or i7, as the games need more core CPUs to do all the 'under hood stuff' BEFORE even talking rendering graphics. The FX-6xxx maxes out in BF4 and becomes a serious choke...

If this is NOT the answer for your region, then I suggest doing what everyone else is doing : BUY A CONSOLE. For less then $200US you can get a PS3/ Xbox360 and have a huge library to play from, and never worry about these things.

" onmouseover="this.style.backgroundColor='#ebeff9'" onmouseout="this.style.backgroundColor='#fff'">Ang FX-6xxx maxes out sa BF4 at magiging isang malubhang point sumakal, at kalimutan ang isang FX-4xxx.

GOOD luck!!!
