Ok, I have a Sapphire HD6670 DDR3 1GB. A friend is wanting to sell me a XFX card of same specs except it has 2GB. What is the better card overall? And I doubt I can crossfire them right???

Thanks!!

Solution
You can if you have a motherboard that can crossfire but each card will be limited to 1GB of VRAM(due to one card only having 1GB)

The 2GB card is slightly but unnoticeably better than the 1gb card as the GPU is too weak to need that much VRAM.

XFX vs Sapphire? Both make great cards (on the AMD side atleast from the ones I've owned, A 6770 XFX and 7870 Sapphire)

On lower end cards like 6670's it's probably not worth the time to do it. I don't think anyone's ever considered doing it but I'll try to find some benchmarks.

ok quick bit of reading, the 6670 crossfire is slower than a single 7770 but faster than 7750.

I would have to get a new motherboard. So it would be better to just run the 2gb card then? Then to put out money on a motherboard to run crossfire when I could just as easy buy a new card? lol
