I used a secondary hard drive to store some apps and my steam installation with hundreds of games (3 TERABYTES). I got a new system entirely, i did a clean install of the operating system, but I have kept 3tb unformatted and just plugged it into the new system, and the bios recognizes it, the device manager recognizes it, but the disk manager won't recognize it. It used to be Drive D in my old system. And I would like to state that formatting the drive is not a possibility, much of the data cannot be downloaded for ages with a 75kbps connection. I really really cannot afford to loose the data. Also guys, it is recognized in SEAGTE diagnostic tools as passing all the tests and is functional. So the drive works, and the sata port also works because i tested it.
Obviously the drive was formatted NTFS in my old system, why doesn't it just get recognized? i don't remember if i changed it to a dynamic disk, which would not affect it??
