I have a MSI 6950 TF3 (serial July 2011) on which the shaders unlock to 6970.
I just bought a second hand card on which the clock unlocks but the shaders don't. A laser cut card I guess
If I mix the two cards in crossfire, what happens - does the unlocked card step down to 6950 and, if so, is that just the shader performance? If I OC both cards does it really matter? Any other problem?
I have the chance to buy another card with a Feb 2011 serial. Does that make the card definitely unlockable or where some cards laser cut back then too?
