So i had a build in my head that i was going to build

Fx 6300 - £82.53
M5A97-LE-R2.0 - £63.98
Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz 2x4gb - £64.99

Then i stumbled upon this at the same price point

Fx 8320 - £108.34
AsRock 980DE3 U3S3 - £48.05
Kingston 1333mhz 2x4gb - £52.99

I'll be running a 7870 gpu and an xfx550w psu with either, im just curious as to which you would choose for gaming as i'm in two minds.

Help is appreciated. Thankyou.

Thanks for the input, its the lure of the 8 core CPU that drew me in but I'm on a strict budget so like u say i would have to sacrifice with poorer RAM and mobo.

Thank for the other ideas for mobo and RAM, unfortunately the mobo i have chose is at the top end of my price range for one, so i'll have to stick with that however i may go for the 1866mhz memory you suggested over the 1600mhz.

you'll barely notice a performance difference, and like sr-71 blackbird said, the ASUS board is definitely better!

You mean between the 8 core and 6 core or between the 1600mhz RAM and the 1866mhz RAM?
