New build keeps turning itself off, is it the parts?

PC Build is as follows:
Cpu - AMD FX 6100 Zambezi
Gpu- XFX Radeon R9 270x 2gb ddr5
Psu- Rosewill Green Series 700W RG700-s12
Mobo- Asus Sabertooth 990fx R2.0
Ram- Gskill Ripjaws 2x4gb DDR3 1600
SSD- Samsung 840 EVO 120gb
HD- Seagate Barracuda 1TB
OS- Win 7 Ultimate x64bit

New parts: Gpu, mobo, ssd
The rest are carry overs from my last build.

The computer shuts down after a small amount of use, not right away. Also makes a high pitched sound while games are loading, and a quieter sound while they are being played. It also makes a quiet high pitched noise while after being run for a minute or two.

My first guess is that I need a higher wattage of PSU, while the second guess is that I needed to do something in BIOS that I did not.

Just wanted opinions before I do anything.

Also, please note that I am a first time builder, I still have no idea what I'm doing.

::addition::
Can anyone recommend a specific power supply? Modular would be nice, but not necessary.

I think the PSU is the likely culprit, not for the wattage but for the quality. You only really need a 550 or 600 watt model for that machine. Corsair, Seasonic, XFX, are all good brands.

The Mobo manual recommends at MIN a 600w PSU. Since mine is 700w I'm worried that the other parts add up to too much for it.

600w is more than enough for your build. Honestly, even a quality 500w psu can handle that. Vendors typically recommend an abnormally high wattage for people who use low quality psus.

Do you get any error while gaming?
Have you updated your gpu drivers?
Do you monitor your temps while gaming?

It turns off without gaming, even just browsing the internet. No errors at all just shut down. And my drivers are up to date.
I do not monitor temps, mostly because I would not know what to look for.

Yea that one is good. Or the CX series. Or Seasonic has some bronze and gold in the same price range. Take your pick.
