Hi all,

Today I received my package, containing a new GFX card:
Sapphire Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition

I installed everything, but the GFX card isn't working.
When I switch the VGA cable from the GFX card to my inbuilt graphics thingy, it just works.
But when I switch the VGA cable to my new GFX card, it gives 3 beeps.
Like in this order:
Beep.... Beep..Beep..

My setup:
i7 3,4GHz
4GBs of ram
Currently Nvidia GT630.

Are there any solutions for this? If so, which ones?
Thanks,

Cheers.

Disable onboard graphics in the BIOS.

One long beep and two short ones are indication of a faulty GPU, perhaps you didn't seat it properly in the PCI-E slot, or maybe you didn't connect the 6pin PCI-E power connector correctly into the GPU.

Also, which PSU do you have?, the HD7700 Ghz Edition is not really a power-hungry card but maybe your PSU isn't enough for it.

The beeps are the same, only the interval is different between the beeps. 700W PSU I believe.

3 beeps means faulty RAM. Try taking out the RAM, cleaning out the slots, and putting it back in, each stick of RAM in each slot one at a time. Tell me if you get beeps after that.

I think that is the error, my ram is ddr3, and the gfx card is ddr5.

No... The RAM and VRAM (GPU's RAM) are totally different. It doesn't make a difference what type it is.
