I'm not planning to overclock. Do I need anymore components and will this setup work well for gaming?

IPS is beautiful, but suffers in fast pace gaming when compared to TN due to slightly higher response times and input lag. If you are playing any first person shooters, i would recommend against the ips. if you only play say MOBA's or MMORPG's and stuff like that, then i do think you would be happy with an ips. If you already have a monitor, then don't worry about it at all
