So I have been wanting to upgrade my computers APU for a while, however my computer is different from others. Inside my computer there is everything you would expect, (RAM, HDD, etc.) except for the processor, graphics card, and power supply. So I did a little research and found that AMD has whats called APU's or Accelerated processing units. As for the power supply, it does not have one. None. All the power comes from a cord similar to a laptop charging cable. So my question was if I can upgrade my APU from an a6-5200, to a higher a-series like a8 or a10. The a6-5200 is a 25 watt APU, but the a8's and a-10's are 65-100 watts. On the power brick, it says 90 watts somewhere, but all in all, i was just wondering if or how I might upgrade this.

Any answer would help at this point, thanks.

Update:

This is from Dell's website "The motherboard supports the AMD Kabini A6-5200 APU only. The processor is not upgradable."

So, NO you want be able to upgrade your cpu which means that there is no point upgrading anything else.. Also there are no available PCIe connectors on the motherboard so no discrete graphics card can be added. From what is seems your desktop is not upgradable by any means..

Hi. Could you please sent a couple of images of the inside of the case? I could not find anything on the net and I really want to see what is going on inside your case. Please try to include as much stuff as possible.
