I'm a newbie to GPU OCing. I have the EVGA Dual FTW version of the GTX 780. I have PrecisionX installed and 3Dmark. However, I'm having lots of problems.

Most people only get to add 38 mV to their Voltage. I'm able to add 63.
Is it safe to add 63?

As long as your cards temperatures are <80C after 30 minutes of MSi Kombustor (it will work), it will be OK to add that much.

Okay. I'm using EVGA OC Scanner, I couldn't get 3D Mark to run for my life. LOL.

Keep in mind that increasing the Voltage doesn't guarantee it runs faster. Modern cards have Thermal Throttling so increasing the voltage makes the card run hotter. Yes, you need to increase the voltage to make an overclock stable but at the same time it's possible to get NO benefit or make things slightly worse.

There's lots of guides online on how GPU BOOST 2 works, and the GTX780 specifically.

My temps haven't hit over 74c yet. Good or bad? I've run multiple benchmarks with my +100 memory and core OC and it seems good so far. How should I increment my OC? +20 til crash?

your fine, you just need more voltage if you want a big overclock.

you would be better off looking here for information as everything your going to need to know is there. you can download the skynet custom bios for your card and flash it if youd like. but all the other information about standard overclocking and modding afterburner to get your power target higher and keeping the card from throttling until it hits 90c.

Okay. I'll have to look at it tonight. I'm in class now.
