So, I bought a NZXT 820 Phantom case, and in almost every video, the people reviewing it, just plug in the molex connector and the SATA connector to their PSUs and it works. The case should open when you press the power button and the fans should start spinning. Also, the LEDs should light up. But when I connect these cables, they don't make the LEDs light or the case fans spin. I checked many videos and one even said "All you have to do is plug the molex and SATA cables". You don't even need a motherboard installed for this! Why doesn't mine work? Any solutions?

Hi! So the video showed me that my PSU was working! It also showed me that if I plugged in the SATA and Molex connectors when the paperclip is in the 24 pin cable, the case worked! However, when I took out the paperclip, the case shut down. I plugged the 24 pin into the motherboard and I got nothing. What should I do? It's that once the paper clip is out, my PSU shuts down (fans don't spin anymore). Then when I plug the 24 pin to the motherboard no lights or fans power up. How could I get my case to work and my components too? I want to use my computer... How can I make the PSU power up without the paper clip? I don't think the case power button works because the 24 pin is not connected to the motherboard.

Sounds to me like your cases front panel header is faulty.
I would contact NZXT and ask for a replacement.
I had an issue with my new FD ARC MIDI R2 the power button was wonky and the hdd light never worked.
I contacted them and had new parts(no charge and no questions asked) within 2 weeks.
I have concerns about your mobo too.
Since you moved it to the new case recently.
Seems to me either you shorted it out or improperly mounted the mobo to case standoffs.
