How do i update my BIOS ?

Hello, i want to uptade my bios but im not sure how to, i did find the proper bios update but its a ROM file and i dont have a CD-rom on my pc.

i have the asus crosshair iv formula mother bord.

Any reason why to update your BIOS? If you have issues with like hardware and overclocking, update your BIOS to which addresses the problem/s. If you have no issues, don't update it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Crosshair IV Formula 1902 BIOS

This is the BIOS updater from the Crosshair Formula IV http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/utils/Bupdater_V114.zip

Flash with the 2101 version but its not guaranteed that it will fix your issue.

Its a BETA version of the bios. Means it is not finished or polished enough and you may run into other problems as well. Flash means update the bios.

i feel really dumb here but there is a problem, i downloaded what you linked but i cant open it, when i use win rar it just says "cannot execute".
is there something im missing here ?
i have windows 8.1 pro if it helps
