So I recently upgraded to the 8350 and running that on a Asus M5A99FX Pro 2.0 MB with Corsair H100 Liquid Cooler.

Socket temps have been crazy high under load (reaching 70C at 4.5 OC). My Core Temps have been great. Less than 50C under load.

This has been bugging me for the last 48 hours as to why I am getting such high temps. yeah I could prob use some more case fans. (Case = CM Storm Trooper Full ATX)

Then I opened AIDA64 and ran a stress test on the CPU and FPU (whatever that is) and the temps were about 10-15 degrees cooler than running a stress test with Prime95. I use speedfan and HWmonitor and both were saying all 8 cores were at 100% and temps were looking great.....

why is this?

Prime95 and AIDA64 have different instruction sets for both AMD and Intel processors. AIDA64 is more towards Intel. I don't know much about Prime95. Some people are also having higher temps on newer Prime95. Example the Prime95 27.9 is cooler than the 28.1 version.
