I just finished building a computer after painfully trying to put it together. I thought I had done everything right and when I would triple check myself on the internet hardly any source was helpful. I turned on the power supply and the onboard MOBO power button lights up red, doesn't flash, stays solid red. No beeps or sounds are emitted. When I hit the power button on the front of the case, for a split second the front two fans light up and spin, plus the graphic card fans and power supply fan spin for a split second. Then nothing. Did I plug something in wrong? Not plug something in? Help please!!!

If possible try using the VGA or DVI Output from your GPU, also try removing your GPU completely and start adding all your other components individually, use your onboard graphics for testing as you add components and then finally add the GPU and test.

trying disconnecting all components(gpu, ram, fans etc) and only have you mobo on and then switch it on and see if it remains on, if it stays on, then add one component at a time. This should help finding the problem

Did and power supply now stays on. What do I do when I find the component that causes the problem?

5 seconds later, plugged In graphics card. Power supply still turns on. But do not see any video on monitor when HDMI cable is attached.
