Can anyone help me choose between these two
Zotac gtx 760 uses a reference design so temp.will be high
So will having betting cooling in cabinet help decrease temp.of 760 ??
Zotac's Amp edition is very costly so not in my budget.

The 270x has a better price/performance ratio, but i would go for a 270 non x version since it's just a underclocked 270x.

The 270 is based on the 7850, the 270x the 7870. They are different cards. Id go for the 760 as its the faster card and temps not too bad. That said I own a sapphire 7870 and it's great too. Overall zotac 760 is best in my opinion.

The Gtx 760 is a better bet of the two, the 760 is comparatively newer architecture (270/270X are basically better 7870's). If you have the budget go for the 760, but either ways both are great cards for their prices.
and yes having a better cooled case can improve performance, but if you can I suggest get the Asus DCUII card.
One last thing, with Nvidia, their new cards overclock yeilding greater results but only when the card is running cooler, so get a card with an after market cooling. AMD will run stable anyways so based on your budget and PC case go for whichever suits you.

Well I am a bit partial myself :-) Seriously I have used the 270X and the dual X model is very quiet, runs cool and I had a great gaming experience at 1080 with every game I threw at it.

I was considering to get the R9 280X but since their prices shot up so I would have to content myself with the 760 :p
same goes for the 270X their prices aren't really good right now.

Take the 760. Although sapphires dual x model cards are great, myself owning the dual x 7870. The fact is the 760 is the faster card and due to AMD price rises is dominating the market.

Er No its not a 270 isnt a 7850 its a 7870 the X version is the same card with slightly higher clocks and a extra 6 pin power connection, in theory a overclocked 270 should be able to overclock to 270x speeds. In some ways the 270 is the better card as it needs 1 power connections to manage what the X needs 2 for. Just so you know the 7850 doesn't have a 2XX replacement as the 260x is slower and the 270 is faster although their is about to be a 265x which is a 7850. If i were you i wouldn't go on a forum like this and speak out about something you obviously have no clue about.

Ive just sold my 760gtx and am probably going to get the 280 or 280x as with the Mantel the 760 is no longer faster in the real world than the 270X.
