Reposting due to someone else marking my thread as solved without my question being answered.

Currently I have a single 8 pin to dual 6+2 pin PSU>PCI-E connected to my GPU, is my GPU getting enough power and/or if my PSU handle my current setup?

GPU- EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified.
PSU- Corsair AX860i with (CP-8920049) cables.

Solution
you're gpu requires 42amps 12volt rail you're psu is 71amps 12volt rail so you should be fine oh btw change second ram slot to both red for better performance
You can unmark the solved. Should be a button marked something like 'unselect solution'. Can't remember the exact wording, but it's gray and in the same place as the 'pick as the solution' button.

I assume that you mean it's an 8-pin modular plug on the PSU to a pair of 6+2-pin plugs, rather than an aftermarket adapter? If so, you're fine.

Try running FurMark for 5 minutes. If the GPU does not mysteriously reset or cause your PC to crash then yes, power is fine.

150W is just over 12A and on the 2x3 connector, that's less than 5A per pin/wire from the PSU so unless the wiring and connectors are junk - 5A per pin/wire is what the ATX spec used to recommend for safety reasons. On the 2x4 150W connector, the extra pins are grounds anyway.

The GPU does not "require" 42A... it has dual 2x3 connectors and each connector is spec'd for 75W (~6A) max and including the 75W from the motherboard, that's 225W absolute maximum assuming the manufacturer followed the connectors' specifications, which translates to ~19A.

according to website it needs 42amps oh and btw the gpu's max power is 250watts

Then that means two things:
1- the manufacturer is exceeding the connectors' specs
2- 250W is still only 20.7A so the manufacturer is roughly doubling the GPU's rating in their "requirement"

42A is obviously not the GPU's own requirement. Merely the manufacturer's over-inflated wild-ass-guess about how high the 12V rating on the PSU for the WHOLE SYSTEM must be assuming people have junky PSUs.

exactly thanks for correcting me ;)
