Hi everyone I am about to start new build for playing games mainly, I cant afford i5 i7s so will be going down AMD route, does anyone have any info on the future of AM3+ & FM2
Most definitive go with the am3+. The 6300 and 8350 oc'ed can really kick ass and compete against i5's. My prediction is that as of for next year amd is going to focus on thier apus instead of cpus because a lot more devices are using apu's and amd can benefit greatly from that. The last line of fx cpus have already dead but they are still good. Fm2 is good as well but is an older generation. I would expect that in 2 years amd will roll out new cpus because they need to up their game a bit against intel. If I were you I would settle with an FX-8350 or even an 8320 and overclock it.
AM3+ is the better of the two CPU wise but does not have a future now that AMD is changing to APU's only with the FM2+ platform but the problem with that is they do not have any APU's that can compete against the current FX lineup in gaming.
