Hello there Tom's Hardware Community.

Normally for something like this I would just scower the internet looking for a solution, but it is something simple and worded too odd that key words give me a billion different options.

Anyways, Whenever I turn on my computer it would normally just find my home Wifi and connect, but recently it will have trouble connecting and give me the status that there are no Wifi networks to connect to. To find a quick fix in connecting to my home Wifi network is quite simple. Where the Wifi status is displayed on the taskbar, you simply must click on it to open the window that would normally list all the available networks. Doing this, clicking on the Wifi icon on the taskbar, will now give your computer the ability to locate and connect to your wifi.

But how would i troubleshoot this so my computer may "find" and connect to the internet automatically on start up?

CPU: Intel Core i5-3570K 3.4GHz Quad-Core

MOBO: Gigabyte GA-Z77X

Graphics Card: Asus Radeon HD 7970

Power Supply: EVGA 750W

RAM: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB

OS: Windows 7

Do you have to type the WiFi password in each time, or is it at least logging in automatically once you've selected your home SSID?

It sounds like, for whatever reason, it's no longer set to automatically connect to a recognized WiFi network when it's turned on. Double-check the connection settings to make sure it's set to automatically connect to the wireless when Windows starts up.

So I do not even need to select my home wifi, just click on the icon in the taskbar and everything else is done automatically. But if you leave your cursor on the wifi icon without clicking it, it says that there are no wifi networks available. I will double check my connection settings once again

Thank you.
