huys i recently bought a cm tx3 evo for my file server machine .... and m scared that the heatsink might fall of i have aattached the pins properly but still m scared as the machine moves around a lot ... do u have any solution to properly secure it as an addition to the pins

Solution
Pretty much any heatsink with a backplate instead of push pins will be fine, no matter how big (they make them pretty friekin huge) the coolermaster 212 evo is another good and cheap choice to consider. the one above is also good :)

Personally, I would recommend changing to a heatsink that has a more secure backplate mount if this is your concern. I am not a fan of the pish-pin type of mounts either.

If you have mounted properly and inserted the pins fully into their locked position you should be fine.

Is changing out the heatsink an option? If so, what make/model of motherboard are you using and what is your budget?

i can actually exchange the heatsink as 30 days replacement is not over yet .. but all the heatsinks in my budget donot have a back plate all are pin types ... mb is gigabyte h61m-ds2 (rev1.0) my budget is around 30$

so you can afford to do that, but not spend slightly outside your budget? also remember backplate needs to also have either plastic or foam insulation so that NO metal actually touches the back of the motherboard, and even then, you would have to modify your existing cooler
