can't log on it keeps asking for set up disc have tried this no go

pc stopped working after a power cut its now asking for the set up disc which i have its not lettin me do anything tried a repair disc no faults showing but i cannot log in why

Seems like a corrupt file system or a bad disk.

Try doing a Repair setup of Windows with the XP disk. http://www.wikihow.com/Do-a-Windows-XP-%22Repair-Install%22

Make sure it does not say anything about deleting partitions or formatting, if it does, stop and go though the steps again as you selected the wrong thing.
