Hello ,

Before long time ago I added an old monitor that I had in my house to my monitor,
and now I have dual-monitor setup including:
Dell U2312HM - Great Monitor ! You can see color very good and it's not too bright, awesome monitor.

The old one is BenQ FP202W -

The resolution of this monitor is 1680x1050 (in comparsion to the 1920x1080 resolution of the U2312HM) and it's very bright, so it is not the best screen to have Dual-Monitor setup with it.

My question is:
Should I but another Dell U2312HM, cause I like it a lot, and I think that if I'll have both of this model, instead of the BenQ, it will be a lot better and comfortable as well.

I'm doing a lot of coding, some editing sometimes, but the point is I use dual monitors a lot and this is very useful for me.

The price of Dell U2312HM (I live in israel so this is different currency here) is 800 ILS, which is equilvant to 230 $.

Should I buy another monitor ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi there

This is a difficult question to answer because it is very subjective.

I also have 2 screens 2x23" samsung screens. They are not the same monitors but their display quality, brightness, contrast are very much the same if not exactly the same.

To have a set up where the two screens are so different must be extremely annoying especially if you are spending a lot of time infront of it.

So to answer your question: Yes, buy another screen, preferably the same one. Even if it does cost a lot, do it! I am in the same boat as you. I live in south africa and things here cost soo much more than they would in the US or EU.

All the best with your decision.

Thanks for the quick answer.

After what you wrote I assuming that I'll buy another one, I do spent a lot of time infront of it and it is really annoying, although the price isn't so expensive in comparison to other monitors here.
