With an H110 you'll be hard-pressed to find a mid tower case that has the clearance necessary between the top of the motherboard and the top of case. If you are going to use this with a push/pull configuration, this becomes even more problematic. Have you considered a full tower case? If not, have you considered an H80?

Ditto here. Only 240mm radiators for mid tower cases. If you want, you can get the H105 which has thicker radiator than the H100i. I got an H80i on sale for $55 and it suites for my needs at the moment.

Another solution would be to use one of those Cubic Cases (such as the Corsair 540 or the CM HAF XC - which is not for sale atm, but looks rly sexy).

Also, now a curiosity, I know that the Fractal Define R4 has 2x 140mm fan places on the top, wouldnt an H110 fit there ?

I will say no. In the website, it will only fit certain 240mm rads.

I like the idea of the small height cases you mentioned, if OP doesn't mind increased floor/desk space they occupy. There's definitely a tradeoff.

Look at where the screws for the motherboard end on the Fractal and look at where the top 2 120 mounts are. There could be an issue with heatsinks over the power section of the motherboard. Also, the mounts sit back on the case so a thick rad is going to interfere with the rear fan. There's just no room. On the other hand, using that case and an H80 at the rear fan mount or the front-most top 120mm mount would work the same way it would in most mid-towers.

Well a friend gave me the h110 for free so I plan on just using that.. so I'm assuming a full tower is only possible then?

Not the only possible solution, a Corsair Carbide Air 540 could hold the H110, it is not as tall, but it is a bit thicker than the full tower, also the Cooler Master HAX XB (I would wait for the XC which looks way better than the XB IMO), could hold it.

It depends on where you want the case to be at, if you dont have enough room for a cubic case, but does have in height, the full towers would be the way to go, If you dont have enough height, than a Cubic case is your best solution.
