1. Nothing is future proof for 7 years. Literally nothing. Think of any flagship hardware of 2006, is it good today? NO.

2. Build is good.

3. You dont need a 750W PSU for this build. A good 500W PSU is enough. Get a 700W if you plan to SLI the 760 later.

Edit- Yea case is costly too(for this budget). Good cases are available at $50.

Hm..I personally do not think one would need a case that expensive since generally. You could substitute a cheaper case than use that to upgrade something else for the PC or shoot for a SSD (for your general computing needs. :)

As well if you want to do some gaming but not 24/7/365/FOREVER then it would be a better option to step down the price of a GPU and get a decent one for half the price at least, and as before, use the extra money for a different sort of upgrade that may be worth it or just pocket the money saved.

I am more of a fan and familiar with AMD CPU's. You could get an AMD board that is similar to the price that is listed for that Intel one. Then get a good hexa or octo CPU at the same speed for half the price.

Everything there is nice but I would not spend the money for that bundle. Just my 2 cents. :)

Hey thanks for the input...I do understand that nothing is future proof for 7 years. I just meant if I am still using a 7 year old computer - it might happen again since I don't game much anymore.

It's hard to know what to pick with all the options out there. I would love it if someone just posted a great middle of the road build so I could just buy what is listed :)

I was thinking around $1000 bucks give or take a little I probably do need OP as I can't transfer my Win 7 I bought to a new computer can I?
I have a mouse and keyboard. My Samsung SyncMaster 226BW Monitor works great but is 5+ years old.

Oh I just made a build that costs about $1050. Then I looked at the deal u originally posted. Its cheaper and more or less has the same TYPE of components. It means that the deal that you are getting is preety sweet. Mine is more balanced. Plus you are getting Operating system for the lowered PSU (A 700W not required anyway) and a cheaper, still very good case. PLUS a great cooler without which you cannnot have a decent overclock. Have a look and lemme know what you think.

I LIKE IT! it looks very similar like you said. One question. I hear a lot of people complaining about Win 8. What is your opinion? You must think its okay since you listed it in the build? Thank you for helping me.....

Happy to help.
I personally like windows 8. Specially its features like pausing copy etc. And fastboot is crazy, even my laptop with a crap 5400 rpm hdd boots up within 15 secs. You will like it, plus its newer.
