Lenovo EThink Pad E540 v Latitude E6540 Laptop

Hi Im looking to purchase a laptop and Im between these two laptops. I will mainly be using the laptop for Microsoft Office and some CAD based programs. Any comments would be appreciated. The difference in price is roughly working out about €200.00 more for the Dell.

i would go with the lenovo. the Quadro graphics are meant for applications like CAD.

Thanks. Does the faster processor in the dell make any difference? Or is it irrelevant for my purpose.

well 500 mhz does make a difference but the i7-4702MQ is still a really good cpu. If you can find a laptop with i7-4800MQ and quadro graphics that would be the best for you but youll have absolutely no problems with that lenovo.

Thanks for the advice I was edging toward the dell for processor but thinking would not make any difference to me for what im using it for.

chose Dell because of much better screen quality (brightest and view angle)
