I purchased a kit and need some start up information as this is my first build.
1- Do I need to power up the computer before I install any software and OS to see if everything comes on?
2- Do I need to have the computer hooked up to a monitor to do the above?
3- Do I need to install the motherboard software CD before the OS?
4- Any other advice will be appreciated on Cooler, GPU and system before I do any start up. Still waiting on the Optical drive, Windows 8.1 OS to arrive on Sat. and have a HD 6670 1GB Video card to start with.
5- Room left for GPU is 10.5" with very little give. Just enough to put a card in.
6- Looking at putting this cooler in for the CPU: Cooler Master Hyper T4 CPU Cooler
My new system consists of;
Intel i5-4670k CPU
ASUS Intel Z87-A LGA 1150 Mobo
Patriot Viper Extreme Memory 2x4GB 1600MHZ PC3 1280
WD Caviar Blue 1TB
LSP Ultra 650 watt PSU
Lite on 24x Optical Drive
Ultra Gladiator Case
