Hi All,
Did any one had any issues with Bluetooth Connectivity with
"Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 plus Bluetooth Adapter "

I installed it as showed in Intel installation manual.
I could see the Bluetooth icon in task bar.And the only problem I am noticing is the
range is too short around 3 feet.Am I doing something wrong in installation ?

Other Retailer are suggesting to connect it in a different fashion to as what is described in Intel manual.

Intel Manual says to connect in this way to JUSB1 Pins on MOBO

Will there be any harm if I connect and try in both ways ?
Changing polarity from + to - will it make some difference - Does it makes some damage to MOBO or Component ? Please advise

Hi Nuke,
Thank you for your quick reply.
My MOBO is latest Z87 MSI GD65.
So changing the connection in JUSB1 from + to - will make any harm or damage to the MOBO or the PCI-e WIFI Card ? :( , Please suggest

I do not think it will, but every board is different.

The thing about DATA lines is they tend to flat out not even work when reversed.

Make 100% sure you are on DATA lines if you try to flip it because if you send POWER to DATA, bad things can happen(again some boards or devices will just shrug it off.).

Hi Nuke,
Thank you for the inputs.Sorry for consuming much of your time.
I am getting close.

PL see this MOBO Manual Image

I am not hooking the WIFI PLug in Supercharge JUSB1 Port on my MOBO

I am connecting it to the regular JUSB2 , which does not has super charging capability in the MOBO.

Pl See this Image

So If I flip it 180 Degrees here in JUSB2 , it should cause no Harm either to the MOBO or to the WIFI PCI-e device right ?

Not connecting to this super charge plug is a good this since with the app installed it no longer functions as a data port and only works as a power ports.

I am not sure how the "covert data to power", but I am guessing they just send a small amount of power on the data line to tell the device it can get more power over the actual power lines(they have several specs for usb charging.).

As for the reverse data lines, no one but the designers of both parts can be 100% sure what it will do. I know that it has happened in the past without issues, but each setup is different. Reversing the 5 volts and ground have a high chance of damage.
