So i found my old family computer, its a Lenovo IdeaCentre K320.
at the moment, the hard drive crashed (getting a black screen with underscore) so thats going to be replaced.

I want to upgrade this to become a gaming pc.. so what can I salvage from this old pc?

i'm looking to upgrade the GPU: GeForce GTX 650 or higher.
the processor is fine or should I upgrade it to a Intel Core i3-2100 3.1GHz?

The processor is fine, no need to upgrade it.

I'd at least upgrade the GPU to a 7790 or GTX 650 Ti BOOST. If you can stretch to a 7850, that'd be great. When upgrading the GPU, don't forget to buy a good quality brand PSU from brands such as Corsair, XFX, Antec, Seasonic etc.
