Hello,

My existing DIY PC is running an Intel D955XBK motherboard (Pentium D830 3.0Ghz) with onboard Intel RAID... Two 300GB drives and 4GB of ram... It's killing me from a basic performance perspective.

I'm a non-gamer running Windows 8. Just surfing the web waiting for pages to render is brutal.

Anyway, I've lost track of all the various CPU/chipset/and MB options these days... I'm looking for a cost effective ATX board/CPU recommendation I can drop into my existing case. Power supply and case cooling are non-issues.

I would love to be able to drop my RAID array into a new board with the same onboard Intel raid setup if possible so I don't need to rebuild from scratch... I also have a Radeon HD6670 card I can reuse for video.

Last requirement is that I want it to support 8GB of RAM minimum.

Suggestions?

Troy

Thank you Calvin. And if I didn't have the Intel Matrix raid?? What's a good board for me to consider with say either the i5 or i7 Intel CPU?
