hey, I've recently fixed the sound loop crash that everyone is associating with the GPU and it turns out that if my CPU goes over 3.5ghz it causes this sound loop. The computer doesn't crash immediately but while gaming and if the cpu goes over 3.5 for a certain time it crashes.

Do you think this could be a faulty cpu? I have disabled turbo boost so the cpu is always running at stock 3.5 ghz and the crash is never happening. Should I replace the cpu? or could it be the voltages are being incorrectly configured by the bios when it goes past 3.5? Or insufficient power from the psu? (I have a 550 watt PLUS and a 660)

no, it does not over heat the temps do not go above 51C. I technically didn't over clock. I've had turbo boost on and during that time it goes up to 3.8 or so. I've tried turning turbo boost off and manually setting it to 3.7-3.8 and the crashes happen.

Rest of the computer is perfectly fine.

The thing is though, the computer looks completely stable, and even while gaming at 3.8 the temps are perfectly fine but sometimes it freezes after 30 min sometimes after 5 min.

Windows itself when left idle does not freeze. It only happens if I'm playing games or watching flash videos.
