I'm not particularly savvy with DisplayPort, but for the most part I believe it's used mostly on monitors, and the only interface that works with G-Sync enabled monitors. When I bought my GTX 780s, they came with a DVI-to-HDMI cable, so I have that cable running to my main monitor, and a standard DVI cable connected to my other monitor.

I would just get the GTX 780. Your PSU would likely support both GPUs, but as it stands now, not many games use PhysX, and having a dedicated card for it really isn't worth it.
