ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AM3+ vs Asus m5a99FX pro r2.0

I'm doing an upgrade on my rig this week and I am in a quandary on MOBO choices.

I'm currently running an AMD fx 8350 processor
2x4 Corsair vengeance 1866 Ram
< insert hard drive / ssd models here, not relevant afaik>
EVGA gtx 760 OC ACX x2.

Mobos are unfortunately the one thing I know darn near nothing about. From what I see both boards can support the same amount of RAM at 1866 speeds (I plan on moving to 16 later) and both support SLI.

Which board should I go with? I'm not adverse to spending a little extra where it counts provided that little extra actually makes a difference.

What advantages does the Sabertooth offer over the M5a99?

  1. You want to overclock to the max then the sabertooth, the 99FXPro will handle most overclocks though.

I honestly don't plan on doing ANY OC besides keeping the RAM at 1866 and OCing the gtx 760s a smidge.

Then it is best you get the m5a99FX Pro and save some money.
