What do i do?

Let's get to the point where you can get something up on the monitor - try plugging only the VGA cable from the monitor to the motherboard, NOT your video card.

And obvious question, what happens when you turn on the computer? Do all the fans run and any lights turn on?

I have just the VGA plugged in and the computer turns on and all the fans come on including the CPU fan.. the blue led lights in the case come on. there is a green led light on at the bottom right hand side / above the USB910 input of the mother board.
Nothing shows up on the monitor at all. it is saying no signal.
