my new gpu lagging all my games

i have just bought a new evga gtx 770 gpu and on every game i own it lags.I first thought it was the graphic settings because i was running the games to high but still it lags on low settings.If any one could help me that would be nice thanks
my pc spec is
i5 3570k cpu
MSI Z77A-G43 Intel Z77 mobo
750 wat psu
16gb ram
ssd and hdd

make sure the intel chipset drivers are the newest ones from intel. make sure the video cable on the gpu and not on the mb video port. check to see if your motherboard has the newest bios. some times with new gpu and mb there can be bios bugs that newest bios files fixes.
