I play battlefield and i love the game but it constantly crashes on me for no apparent reason. I have tried the direct x install and run as admin fixes but they don't work for some reason. I even upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8.1 but still get the same problem.
Here are my pc specs:
i7 3770K @ 4.5GHz
Corsair Vengeance 8GB 1600MHz Ram
MSI R9 290X Twin Frozr IV
OCZ Agility 3 240GB SSD

I am starting to think that maybe some other software or drivers are causing the problem because i have had it happen with other games but i can see anyone mentioning it on other forums. Any help to fix this problem would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

thanks, still early yet but i turned up the voltage instead and it seems to be ok so it was the overclock

update: so it still seems to freeze when i turn up the voltage. Is there anything else that may be causing the problem? maybe some software i have causes it to crash? has anyone heard of any software doing that because ive had it happen with other games in the past
thanks

Oh right, it is still possible it's your OC, just because you increased the voltage slightly it may still not be stable.

I had my 3770k running at 4.5 and it passed prime95/stress tests for any length I could throw at it, but every now and then it would crash under heavy loads.

I still suggest reverting back to stock clocks, (save you settings in a profile so you can easily revert back to 4.5) and seeing how you go!
