I am having a problem with my new Philips 22PFL2978H/12 tv, that i am gonna use as a monitor.
The problem is i cant run 1920x1080 60Hz resolution via VGA. I tried HDMI cabel, and it works fine,it recognizes tv and i can run desired resolution. On VGA the maximum resolution is 1600x900
i installed new graphic drivers for my ati radeon hd 4600. The reason why i cant use HDMI is because i have ps3 on it,so VGA is the only option Does anyone knows what could be the cause?

VGA was developed in a time when monitors were 480x640. They do not have enough bandwidth to support 1080@60hz.
Does your monitor also have a DVI, it looks similar to a VGA but in a rectangular shape, that is what most people use
