What is the advantage of having two Ethernet ports on your motherboard?

To run on two networks, have increased bandwidth, or as a fail-safe

Although I have yet to try it, a second use would be for an isolated, non-internet connected network for XP machines. I will be using a wireless router for the second network, with the 2.4GHz radio turned off (ie: 5ghz only). The main network will run on the 2.4GHz channels for wireless. Dual-band N is handy.
