Hi,
I have recently upgraded my system using the Asrock z87 extreme 4, with the components:
intel i7-4770k
corsair vengence 4gb 1600mhz 9-9-9-24 (verified on second comp)
msi 560ti twin frzr 2 (yes very old)
Antec gamer 900 watt (sufficient for two new 290s or 780s)
NZXT Havik40 (note the 2 fans mounted cover the ram slots so only one fan can be used!!)

And as usual there are problems, on boot dr.debug goes through many error codes, to fast to note so I'm assuming thats it just doing the checks and passing; then it pauses on one error code (I assume this is the problem).I am using the z77 (found here http://download.asrock.com/manual/Z77%20Extreme4.pdf) manual to debug, as z87 has no error codes.
First boot I got the error A2, so I unplugged my sata3_0 (recommended in manual z87) and passed, moved them to sata3_A0 and works fine.

next was the ram, error 55, the ram works in a1(ram slot id) and b3. not a2 or b1.

next error code was 9c pause then 99. I'm stuck on this, I went through the previous steps and also moving the gpu to all pcie 3.0 ports, (unplugged all usb 2.0/3.0 hen got d7, no i/o input aka keyboard) I also removed the cpu & cooler, cleaned the paste and checked the pins, they are fine. I have also resecured the 24-pin mobo power cord and cpu power. Now I'm stuck on 9c to 99.

I have even tried using the mobo hdmi (to use the cpu's intergrated graphics), no luck there.

I have no Idea what to do now. please suggest any ideas (keep in mind what I have done and tried). this has been a two day ordeal, please help me!
thanks.

I just had to clr cmos, and redo my sata cabling, then keep watching the monitor for output!

I was to eager looking at the Dr. debug and missed boot on the monitor
