Does the radiator have to be installed in the rear of the computer case?

it depends on how adventurous you are, eg if you have no problems adding a few drillholes, nearly anything should be possible.
the only thing you need to take care of is that your air comes out of the case into the radiator: that air usually already passed a fan filter, and as such will cause less problems with dust

i'm actually looking into buy a new computer case. but my desk can only fit a mid tower. I cant seem to find a 140mm Rear fan case where i need to put the radiator. Or can i put the radiator on the top fan slot instead? I don't know anything about liquid cooling btw, so i bought a simple one such as the corsair h90 where i dont need reservoir and other mumbo jumbo. Do i HAVE to put the radiator+fan in the rear slot? Or the top works also
