I want to extend my FIOS through the house (newbie)

I have FIOS coming into the house in my wife's office. My computer and our streaming ROKU accesses the internet (wifi) via the router in this office. I would like to extend the FIOS through to a few other rooms. Although I am doing some remodeling right now, I think mostly it would have to go around the outside of the house (one level rambler). 75 feet of cable should be plenty.
However, as a newbie I'm not sure what I'd need in addition to cable. In my mind I think I'd need a junction box that includes a splitter so I can go in from the outside to my office, then continue on around the house. But I'm having trouble finding one, if it exists.
The router has extra out sockets (not the right term I'm sure) so I'd also have a box in my wife's office to go out through the wall.
I have tried the power line adapters but they don't work so well, and the wifi is intermittent and frustrating.
Any advice appreciated. Hope I've covered it enough.

Solution
ActionTec router -> switch -> rooms and devices.
However you want to do it. Outside the house or through the walls.

For outside, obviously get outside rated Cat5e.. Somewhat more expensive. And it looks nastier.

The operative word you're looking for is 'switch', not splitter.

From the FiOS router, to a switch, to all other rooms and devices.
Ideally, you could route wires into the attic or under, through the crawlspace, and then to the other rooms.

Thanks for the replies. Yes - perhaps switch is more appropriate. I can't really do anything but go outside from the wife's office. I have some access in walls in other rooms. So I'd need a switch in the first office and run 3 cables (for 3 access points) out to the other rooms?
