Possibly Defective PSU

Hello

I'm currently using an XFX Core edition 750w power supply and I'm having a problem were after a couple hours on idle my computer shuts off and won't start unless I plug it into another outlet. Lately though its been doing it more often. Is there anything I should check for or should I RMA the part back to newegg?

Does it do the same thing on the other outlet?
If it doesn't call an electrician.

it does it with the other outlet also and my computer and my monitor are plugged into the same surge protector and the monitor does not turn off

Maybe the surge suppressor is shot.
Have you tried just plugging the pc and monitor in a wall outlet.

thats what i did before and there seems to be no difference except that over time its become more common

The last thing I would try is move the rig to another area away from that electrical circuit and try it.
If you encounter the same issue then you know the psu is faulty and RMA it.
